about the results

Learn-it kickstarted its campaign in the year 2017 by partnering with a handful of schools in Maseru in efforts to enhance the academic performance of struggling students, thus the program comprised 92% extra classes and 8% supplementary exams students. In 2018 we introduced the Leribe learning centre, and further added full JC and LGCSE courses into the program, as well as increasing the capacity of the supplementary exams program.

We then spread our wings over and above in the year 2019 through the launch of the massive Butha-Buthe learning centre and Online Distance Learning program. The former has been a major boost to the Learn-it group, producing numerous A*s and A's in the supplementary exams only.

In 2019 and 2020 the country experienced major instabilities and inconsistencies in the educational sector due to the nationwide teachers' strike and the corona virus lockdown, consequently, the 2019 and 2020 (mid-year) results were negatively affected. Despite all the difficulties, several students managed to rise above the waters and performed outstandingly, scoring A*s, A's and B's. A special tribute goes to supplementary exams students who unreservedly broke the stereotype that supplementing students cannot score A*s and A's. Our students attain such grades every year, and we have made it a habit.

So who gets selected to attend Open-Days? The selection process does not only focus on the actual grade a student scores in the final, but it takes into account a student's journey in the program, in earnest consideration. Hardwork, commitment and discipline also play a massive role. A student who makes a transformation from grade F to grade B often precedes one from grade C to grade B.
